I have two full time HTPCs, both running XMBC Frodo RC2 (Aeon NOX skin). I also have a Boxee Box running the Boxee+ firmware (fun to play with but a large library makes it laggy as Hell) and access to an RPi. I want a unified solution for throughout the house.
I'm considering running a Plex server as well on the primary HTPC system for secondary systems for the other TVs throughout the house. The primary HTPC has more than enough resources to serve up both roles without suffering. The secondary systems will be using a dual-channel N WLAN so having the ability to transcode HD content down to a lower resolution will be helpful. I really like the feel of XBMC so I can use the PlexBMC add-on to integrate the two.
The Boxee can just pick up access to the library through simple file shares so I'm not concerned about integration.
So my question is this... have any of you actually used PlexBMC and what's your opinion?
