The default search is set to return 50 results, this seems to return results but not based on age.

So when searching some results which are 1 day old are not showing up unless selecting advanced options and 100/250 results.

Try a search for peep show with both 50 and 100 results and compare difference

Another bug is when I search for {boston legal} I see all relevant results but when I search for {boston legal dvdrip} I don't get any results whatsover.

The search default has been increased to 250. Also, I checked your second question and it appears to be showing up now. May not have been indexed yet.
